Alive International has had a tradition of ministering to the
Chinese people since its founding as the Home of Onesiphorus in
China in 1916. It next served in Hong Kong. Then in 1969
property was bought here in Taitung. Taiwan. The Onesiphorus
Children¡¦s Home opened in 1970.

milestone was reached in October, 1994, when Daniel Lu became
the first national Taiwanese director. Anothermilestone was
reached in 1998 when the support of the Home was taken over by
the Taiwanese people. The Home continues to be a part of Kids
Alive.
Kids Alive International ministers to children in nine countries
worldwide, Kids Alive is pleased to have Taiwan a part of its
family and congratulates the Onesiphrous Home on the
construction of new facilities to better serve the children of
Taiwan.
